Bloom, is receiving explosive global response from the moment of its debut.

Premiering on the 6th through Heavenly, the BL series Bloom (produced by Heavenly/WEMAD, directed by Kim Ah-young, written by Doyoon, starring Subin, Cha Se-jin, Lee Do-han, and Cha Yoo-hyun) shot to the top of rankings across multiple streaming platforms immediately upon release.

The series claimed the No. 1 spot on various OTT category charts—including Korea’s Heavenly, Japan’s Rakuten TV, North America’s iQIYI, and Taiwan’s GagaOOLala—demonstrating the strength and emotional depth of Korean romance content while capturing the hearts of viewers worldwide.

A romantic comedy centering on Doha, a lifelong single who becomes entangled with three different men, Bloom blends classic BL tropes such as older-younger romance, office romance, and friends-to-lovers. Its fresh emotional tone and high-visual storytelling have driven massive engagement on TikTok, become trending keywords on X, and inspired a surge of YouTube reaction videos and secondary fan-made content.

To thank global fans for their passionate support, the production team will hold a special fan screening on the 16th featuring the main cast and the director, offering a rare opportunity for fans to connect more closely with the creators.

Following the breakout hit Semantic Error, the BL genre in Korea had faced strong competition from Chinese and Thai dramas. Now, three years later, Heavenly and WEMAD’s first original collaboration Bloom is drawing attention as a potential game-changer that may reignite a new Korean BL wave across the globe.
Consisting of 8 episodes, Bloom releases a new installment every Thursday at 6 p.m. exclusively on Heavenly, the world’s first BL-dedicated OTT platform.
